The surname Piombini does not seem to be very common in Italy. According to the very useful cognomix.it website there are approximately 92 families in Italy with this name. There seems to be little trace of my Piombini’s in the Lonigo area now. The map shown below indicates that the name is mainly distributed from the central regions to the North of Italy, also including Sardinia.
